The Farm Mobile is a mobile farmer’s market with stocked shelves full of “organic locally grown produce, free-range eggs, breads from H&F Bread Co., our own grits, polenta, and cornmeal, and sustainable meats.” Their freezers are full of grassfed beef and Berkshire pork from their very own Riverview Farms, a certified organic farm in Ranger, Georgia, as well as “whole pasture-raised chickens raised by White Oak Pastures.” The truck is also usually stocked with other items like local cheeses and pesto. Yum!
I love that they use burlap and chalk boards. Right up my alley!
After speaking with the manager of this mobile wonderland, we learned that the truck used to be a tool truck with the shelving and storage already in place when they got to it. Great find! Charlotte Swancy of Riverview Farms owns the truck, and has passed on some of the responsibility to Donna who manages the truck. Donna’s husband Shane works with her occasionally. Keep up all the great work!
Donna and Shane are so passionate about what they do and it shows. They were both so friendly and willing to talk when I asked their permission to blog about their awesome business.
If you’re a local in or around Atlanta or just visiting, check out their schedule to catch up with them on the road. You can also see updates on Twitter and Facebook. And if you want to get in touch directly, feel free to email them too: firstname.lastname@example.org.
